Ackquille Jean Pollard (born August 4, 1994), known professionally as Bobby Shmurda, is an American rapper and songwriter. On December 18, 2014, New York City Police arrested Shmurda and charged him, along with several other members of GS9, with conspiracy, possession, and reckless endangerment. In 2016, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison. He was released from prison only a couple of weeks ago but he has not shied away from his outspoken self and has recently involved himself in beef with 6ix9ine. He called the Brooklyn rapper a rat and stated that there is no place in the industry for guys like 6ix9ine. His criticism did not go unnoticed though because 6ix9ine responded calling Bobby a bum for serving all that time in prison and missing out on all the opportunities his music granted him.
