▸ What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a free form of dance in which dancers abandon themselves to the music. There is no search for aesthetics or harmony, we dance the way we want, without any judgment from others or any mental obstruction. We dance barefoot, for ourselves, for our emotions and for the pleasure of our body. The Ecstatic Dance is therefore a space of non-judgment and letting go. This experience is such an outlet for the body that it results in a powerful feeling of trance and well-being: the ecstasy.
The music is specially selected to make the body and the spirit travel (ethnic music, tribal, oriental, psychedelic, downtempo songs, etc.) and to guide you towards ecstasy. The rhythm can be slow, very slow, fast or very fast, there are no rules.
