Backing Track Southern Rock in D (Mixolydian) for guitar or any other instrument (80 BPM). You can use the D Minor Pentatonic Scale, D Major Pentatonic Scale or the D Mixolydian Scale to improvise over this track. This backing track has a similar chord progression as the song ‘Can’t you see by the Marshall Tucker Band’, try to borrow some licks/solo parts from this song and play them over this backing track 😉
► Note:
– The D Mixolydian Scale has the same notes as the G Major Scale / E Minor Scale.
– The D Minor Pentatonic Scale has the same notes as the D Mixolydian Scale, except for the note F (b3). The D Mixolydian scale includes the note F# (3), so you can always bend the note F towards F#.
– If you use the D Major Pentatonic Scale, try to include the minor third (b3) now and then to add some spice 😉
