DJ Mix recorded on August, 2023 on the island of Florianópolis in southern Brazil
Originally, Ultra-Lounge is a series of compilations released by Capitol Records, featuring music predominantly from the 1950s and 1960s in genres such as exotica, space age pop, mambo, television theme songs, and lounge. This series was very important for my musical formation and now I’m starting a series with the same name here on this channel (if Capitol Records doesn’t like that I’m using the same name, they can send me an email and we can talk ❤️ ) that aims to be a personal and contemporary interpretation of the sensations that the original series brought me. It’s jazz, it’s funky, it’s lofi, it’s exotic, it’s groove. It’s something between a retro-futuristic 007 movie from the 70s and a house party in the hatch of the second season of Lost.
