LYRICS:

Verse 1:
Do you hear the wind that blows from the field down to the gleaming sugar canes?
In the early wild morning I hear your voice calling out my name sayin’
“There is no time left for sorrow, even if the liberty way is narrow”
The bells of truth, one day will chime bright and clear
In the meantime we’ll stand behind your healing drum

Chorus:
Kouté pou tann van-la lévé, gadé riviè ka débòdé
Nou doubout nou ka hélé pou pawòl-la voyé monté
Lopozisyon pé ni ayen, sèl biten sé tchouyé mwen
Mizik-la ka chayé mwen, lé répondè kongné lanmen

Verse 2:
Do you see the raindrops streaming from the mountain turning into a torrent ?
How long will it take ? Tell me How long can we tolerate ?
« There is no time left for sorrow, even if the liberty way is narrow »
My body is aching, my mind is torn but it doesn’t matter anymore
Because with you by my side I fear no evil

Kouté pou tann van-la lévé, gadé riviè ka débòdé
Nou doubout nou ka hélé pou pwòl-la voyé monté
Lopozisyon pé ni ayen, sèl biten sé tchouyé mwen
Mizik-la ka chayé mwen lé tanbouyé kongné ka-la

Kouté pou tann van-la lévé, gadé riviè ka débòdé
Nou doubout nou ka hélé pou pwòl-la voyé monté
Lopozisyon pé ni ayen, sèl biten sé tchouyé mwen
Mizik-la ka sanblé nou pou réparé péyi an nou
